Transcription refers to the process of conversion from audio to written form in the target language. Transcribing work is very time consuming. On average getting one hour of audio material onto paper takes up to five hours. In addition, factors such as background noise, quality of the sound as well as source format attribute to the time it takes to produce the transcription. After this part is finalized, the transcribed text has to be translated into the target language.

FEDERAL RULES OF CIVIL PROCEDURE (FRCP)
